All the palm-size PACs have same form factor and system architecture. With different software or communication interface, they can be classified to several solutions as following.

Will be phased out
I-7188 series C language based uPAC (Serial Connectivity)
I-7188 is a palm-size PAC that equips a DOS-like OS (MiniOS7). Its software development toolkit is C language compilers that can build 16-bit executable file (*.exe) running on an 80188/80186 CPU. There are two free compilers ( Turbo C 2.0 and Turbo C++ 1.01 ), we suggest users to use the Turbo C++ 1.01.
By the multi-COM port feature, I-7188 can integrate serial devices (for example: barcode reader, card reader, HMI) and use the few onboard I/O points to implement embedded applications.
£gPAC-7186E series C language based uPAC (Ethernet and Serial Connectivity)
£gPAC-7186E is our new generation of palm-size PAC. It equips a more power full CPU (upgraded from 40M Hz to 80M Hz) and a faster Ethernet port (upgraded from 10 Base-T to 10/100 Base-TX). Compared with I-7188E series, £gPAC-7186E”¦s computing speed is up to 4 times faster. And there are more memory configuration choices to select from.
ISaGRAF based uPAC
The controller fully supports all five of the IEC61131-3 standard PLC languages:
1. Ladder diagram.
2. Function block diagram.
3. Sequential function chart.
4. Structured text.
5. Instruction List plus flow chart.
It supports DCON and Modbus protocol to link to remote I/O modules via the RS-232/485 or Ethernet.
The palm-size PAC all has the same form factor and system architecture. With different firmware and communication interface, they can be a gateway to transmite data to another media or translate to different protocol.
