Various management actions and plans, such as “Safety and Health Work Rules” and “Occupational Safety and Health Management Plan requesting all the company’s employees to strictly adhere to are formulated by the company’s occupational safety and health management unit with a view to keeping the employees safe in the workplace.
The company applies for coverage of Labor Insurance, National Health Insurance and group insurance in accordance with relevant laws and regulations to protect all its employees.
All employees are scheduled to have a general occupational health examination to ensure their health every two years according to the “Labor Health Protection Rules.”
“Safety and Health Work Rules” is formulated to standardize and teach employees how to operate machines and equipment safely and correctly to ensure the safety of employees, as well as to strengthen the education and training of new employees to reduce the harms to employees' safety and health in the work environment.
Company adequately adjusts the production lines of the plant area according to the needs, or re-conduct the spatial planning for them so as to achieve the optimal utilization. As a result, not only the safety and health risks are re-identified on a regular basis, but also the possible hazardous factors in the workplace are inspected and improved, from which the safety and health of employees are ensured.
The qualified exposure monitoring organizations are commissioned to regularly conduct the measurement of chemical factors in the workplace such as carbon dioxide, organic solvents and specific chemicals, as well as determine whether the measurement results conform to the requirements of relevant laws and regulations according to the “Measures for Implementing Exposure Monitoring in the Workplace.”
Regular maintenance and testing required by ISO9001 quality management system are applied to the machines and instruments so as keep them run in normal operation and prevent machine and equipment failures causing derivative occupational safety accidents.
An emergency contingency task force is organized to cope with emergencies such as earthquakes, typhoons and fires. Annual disaster prevention drills and evacuation drills for the whole plant are regularly conducted so as to prevent or reduce the harms to employees in case of disaster.
A self-guard firefighting grouping containing a notification squad, a firefighting squad, an evacuation leading squad, a safety protection squad and a rescue squad is organized to hold two firefighting workshops and escape drills regularly every year so as to ensure the safety of workplaces and employees.
Occupational safety cases and occupational safety propaganda are irregularly posted on the company’s occupational safety website or through emails.
