Environmental Policy

Our environmental protection philosophy is to: comply with environmental protection laws and regulations, save energy, cherish resources and design green products. In order to realize the implementation of environmental protection campaign and save all kinds of resources, the company implements environmental protection campaign, complies with all relevant environmental laws and regulations, and formulates written environmental protection policies, including:



●	To be in line with the EU RoHS Directive, which took effect in July 2006, the company has taken its own initiative to understand the customer requirements and purchase testing instruments to ensure that the company's products meet the EU Directives or customer requirements.
●	We have reduced the waste of manpower and paper resources, as well as improved work efficiency by pushing for the goal of e-management of administrative work, and planning to build electronic bulletin boards and an online form e-signature system.
●	We look for our qualified waste management companies through the “License Information Inquiry” of EPA’s Industrial Waste Report and Management System according to the corresponding types and codes of waste, which fully complies with the EPA regulations. The present outsourced waste management companies are all either licensed by the EPA, or granted an approval of waste recycling by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Their licensed waste management types and codes are all in line with those of the company.
●	Regarding the aspect of water resource saving and management, despite water is not consumed in the company’s manufacturing process but only a small amount of water needed in daily life instead, many measures are still taken to save water, including installing water-saving devices to reduce water consumption, posting water-saving measures slogans to remind colleagues of saving water, and commissioning professional organizations to handle the maintain of drinking water equipment periodically according to the operational content listed in the signed maintenance contract. The maintenance items conducted each time shall be thoroughly recorded in the "Record Form of Drinking Water Quality Inspection and Equipment Maintenance," which shall be set at an obvious site close to the drinking water equipment for inspection. Water quality test items covering the Escherichia coli group and total plate colony count are conducted every three months to ensure the drinking water safety of colleagues.
●	The company has fully adopted a scheme requesting persons’ carrying their own reusable bowls and chopsticks to reduce the use of disposable bowls and chopsticks, as well as carried out activities such as resource waste classification, kitchen waste recycling and waste reduction. The company has also implemented the culture of reusing waste paper to improve the utilization efficiency of various resources.
●	The company's chiller units, pantry rooms, operation sites and meeting rooms are all installed with the company’s monitoring products, which can help watch the air conditioning temperature control, and monitor temperature and humidity, carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption information at any time, from which energy is effectively used and saved so that the goal of energy conservation and carbon reduction is expected to achieve.
