GPIB to USB Controller is available now 

The USB-488 uses the PC’s USB to provide IEEE 488.2 interface for GPIB instruments. The compact size of this device makes it ideal for notebooks and desk-top computers. The Plug & Play feature let the computers with Windows system recognize the IEEE 488.2 interface as soon as it is attached to the USB port. This product implements all required and optional features of the IEEE 488.2 specification in controller or device mode to be a talker or a listener. It is fully function-compatible with existing IEEE 488 control cards. And it does not need external power supply.

X702 : a 2-axis expansion board designed for encoder related applications

The X702 is a 2-axis encoder board which can be appended to the 7188XB/EX on applications. The X702 encoder board has XOR logic circuits to select logical level of its inputs and two 24-bit counters for high speed  counting (1M pps max).  It can be used  in the general-purpose position and velocity measurement, the feedback position measurement of motion control, or as the interface of the handwheel input.

ICP DAS's New Product  : I-7231D  CANopen/DCON Gateway  

The I-7231D provides the gateway function of CANopen slave and DCON master. That is, it can offer the communication gateway between CANopen and DCON protocol. From the DCON master site, it can support lots of the I-7K/I-87K series IO modules and automatically map into the object of CANopen slave device during the startup process.  From the CANopen slave site, it stands as the standard device with the CANopen slave function. Based on the CANopen protocol, this device can provide higher communication speed and efficiency, and better function of the data error checking mechanism. Furthermore, it can avoid 2 or more devices start transmitting messages at the same time. In addition, I-7231D can be used in the application of building automation, remote data acquisition, environment control and monitoring, laboratory equipment & research, factory automation, etc.

ICP DAS's New Product  : I-7241D  DeviceNet/DCON Gateway

The I-7241D is one of the CAN series products produced by ICP DAS. It provides a communication protocol transfer the DeviceNet and the DCON protocol. Q & A :

Q1. I'm using Windows DLL/Driver (Toolkits for Windows) to develop my Apps (application programs). Do I need to modify my applications for the new card?

A. No. You don't need to modify your Apps for the new card. All you need to do is to install the new driver that will support both the old and the new cards.

Q2. I'm using DOS lib to develop my Apps. Do I need to modify my Apps for the new card?

A. No. You don't need to modify your Apps for the new card, but you have to re-compile and link your Apps with the new lib. So, your App's source code is required to re-build the new Apps.

Q3. I'm using DOS and I don't have the source code of the Apps. How can I do?

A. The source code is required to re-build the DOS Apps with the new lib. It's recommended to place an order for some old-version cards for using in the future. Or, you can develop your new Apps to support the new cards now.

Q4. Can I use the old and new cards in the same PC?

A. Yes, but you have to install the new driver first, or upgrade your Apps to use the new lib if you are using DOS.

Q5. Do I have to buy some new cards to replace the old-version cards in my system?

A. No. The old and new cards have the same features, so you don't need to replace the old version of cards by the new one.

Q6. I have a new project that will use these cards. Do I have to use the new-version cards?

A. Yes, it's recommended to use new-version cards in your new projects.

I-7530 is a RS-232/CAN converter and can accurately converts messages between CAN and RS-232 communication media.   NAPOPC DA Server Update

    

   NAPOPC DA Server has been updated to version 2.15 including following features:

  • Separate controller, 7K, 8K and 87K items from original layout in the module list.
  • The functions of adding device, group and tags are restricted within non-Monitor mode.
  • Show correct 87K device names when automatically scanning devices.
  • Fix an unexceptional error while adding 8K modules without adding 8K MCU first.
