Energy Management

Introduction

The energy management developed by ICP DAS emphasizes "Access to Electricity Consumption Information", "Electricity Consumption Safety", and "Renewable Energy and Energy Storage System Monitoring".

Why ICP DAS

ICP DAS provides complete solutions for the acquisition of energy data, covering from smart meters, meter data concentrators, and intelligent controllers in the field to Cloud-based equipment management software. Perfectly corresponding product lines and solutions in terms of the acquisition of energy data, the monitoring and control of equipment, and the analysis of back-end data are available for company proprietors to help improve the efficiency of their energy utilization and reduce unnecessary losses thanks to the assistance of ICP DAS when integrating elements such as remote management, the analysis of data, and equipment networking.

Applications

The classification of and access to electricity consumption information is defined here as the monitoring of production equipment, motors, pumps, refrigerating and air-conditioning, air compressors, heating equipment, and lighting to obtain electricity consumption information and status of each circuit, and the automatically generation of reports by the system, from which the information and status can be further integrated with an MES and/or ERP system to precisely calculate the unit cost of the electricity consumption. This information can also be further used as the basis for the improvement of equipment processes and preventive maintenance.

Improve Remote Monitoring and Reliability of EV Charging Piles with ICP DAS Intelligent CAN Bridge

ICP DAS I-2533 series CAN/CAN FD to Multi-mode/Single-mode Fiber Bridge receives data from electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure through the CAN bus and extends the communication distance via fiber optics. Subsequently, the I-2533 series transmits the data to the PISO-CAN200U series PCI Card, which the central controller is equipped with, using the CAN bus....

Application of ICP DAS’s Solutions for Energy Management in Panel Display Manufacturing

The ICP DAS‘s PM-3000 series smart power meters allow users to transmit AC current data from the inverter to the PMC series power meter concentrators via the Modbus RTU communication protocol. Then, through Ethernet, the received data can be easily sent to the control center via Modbus TCP communication protocol, thus realizing power management and achieving the goal of preventive maintenance.

Tracking Carbon Footprint in Manufacturing with ICP DAS’s Environment and Energy Management Solution

Users can collect information about the electricity consumption of factories and equipment with the ICP DAS‘s three-phase smart power meter PM-3000 series and the IIoT power meter concentrator PMC-5231. The smart power meter and power meter concentrator can also be used in conjunction with ICP DAS‘s air sensor modules to obtain temperaturehumidity, and PM concentration data...etc。

Energy Monitoring with Predictive Maintenance at a Palm Oil Mill Plant in Thailand

To help our client acquire power consumption data on the motors, ICP DAS utilized the three-phase smart power meters (PM-3133-360P), together with the IIoT power meter concentrator (PMC-5231) to acquire the motors’ electric data. Later on, the electricity information could.......

Industrial IoT Power Meter Concentrator – PMC-5200 series

Industry 4.0 is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that incorporates the technological concept of communicating and exchanging information between all facilities and has brought the manufacturing industry to a new era. The PMC-5200 series Industrial IoT Power Meter Concentrators developed by ICP DAS is a perfect starting point to facilitate the vision of energy monitoring and management......

PMD-2201 Power Meter Concentrator with a Touch Panel Display

The PMD-2201 (Power Meter Concentrator with Display) offers an onsite display and a remote web page that can be used to display power information together with interfaces to configure the system settings. This helps those personnel in charge of the power monitoring system to view power consumption information from remote devices in real time via either the LCD touch panel or the web page......

New Generation of Power Management Solutions

ICP DAS provides total-solution products for the second phase, measurement and analysis, providing products from power meters for measurement to power meter concentrators for data logging and report analysis. The solution is comprehensive and easy to use, and can save time and cost in system planning and implementation. It is flexible so that you can freely add or remove power meters......

  • Monitoring begins once electricity is delivered to the factory from the power company.

  • Monitoring the Transformer in the substation in the plant with consideration to power safety.

  • Monitoring whether the efficiency of energy utilization within the entire plant achieves a loop balance, which is a major concern for those factory owners who really care about the price of electricity. In those situations, they would relatively concerned about whether the contract capacity exceeds the contract, and whether the power factor (PF) achieves the balance.

One of the most important indicators when monitoring electrical power quality is the Harmonics. If the harmonics seriously pollute the power system, it may not only affect the quality of the power supply within the system, but also damage the electrical power equipment, or affect the normal operation of the equipment.
