Modbus RTU I/O Expansion Unit
Modbus is a communication protocol developed by Modicon in 1979 for linking devices with Modicon PLCs using a master/slave relationship. Different versions of Modbus today include Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Modbus TCP. Where Modbus RTU and ASCII are based on serial communication like RS-232 and RS-485, and Modbus TCP is based on Ethernet communication. It's a standard, truly open and widely used in industrial automation field.
The iP-8000-MRTU series is an I/O unit with Modbus protocol. It supports most of high profile I-8K and I-87K series I/O modules. SCADA and HMI software can easily access variant I/O signals via the iP-8000-MRTU. |

Intelligent RS-485 I/O expansion unit
The unit is used to expand I-87K series I/O modules via the RS-485 interface. It is equipped one power module, one RS-485 interface, one CPU module and several I/O slots. Only high profile I-87K series I/O modules can plug in the unit.
The most important features are
1. Auto configuration
Each slot configuration can be pre-configured and stored in the CPU module, Once a module is plug in, the CPU module will write the pre-configured data to the module.
2. Hot Swap
All I-87K modules circuit design allow it to be hot swapped. The unit don't need to power off while swapping I/O modules.
With above two features, the maintenance becomes very easy. If one module is damaged, the worker just need to find one new module and replace the damaged one. The whole system don't need to shut down for maintenance and the configuration will be done by the CPU module.

Intelligent USB I/O expansion unit
The unit is used to expand I-87K series I/O modules via the USB interface. It is equipped one power module, one USB interface, one CPU module and several I/O slots.
The most important features are
1. Hot Swap
The USB-87Pn doesn’t need to shut down its power to replace or plug I-87K I/O modules. Therefore, the whole system can keep operating without any interruption.
2. Auto configuration
Configurations of I-87K I/O modules can be pre configured and stored in the nonvolatile memory of the USB-87Pn. When the USB-87Pn is power on or an I-87K I/O module is plug in, the USB-87Pn automatically check and restore these configurations to each I-87K I/O modules on it.
Only high profile I-87K module can plug in the unit. |
