In the past, the UA I/O module only supported the OPC UA Server, so customers could only select devices with the OPC UA Client function for connection. The UA I/O modules now support OPC UA clients in addition to OPC UA servers. This enhancement provides customers with the flexibility to use OPC UA as a communication protocol to transfer I/O data and are no longer limited to which role (Server or Client) the device supports.
Also, the OPC UA Client supports secure data transfer and multi-language I/O nicknames.

Previously, the function of the Event log was to record the I/O data in the SD card when the event is triggered. Now the event log is combined with the line function to send the event-triggered message to Line. Users can be in control of the on-site situation through their cell phones.

3. Support EZ-UAQ Utility Password Protection

Due to the increasing functionality of the EZ-UAQ Utility management tool, the EZ-UAQ Utility's authority is also increasing. It means that anyone with access to the EZ-UAQ Utility can control the field module easily. Security issues also have been raised. Therefore, UA-I/O adds the password setting of EZ-UAQ Utility. When you use the EZ-UAQ Utility to Update Firmware, Update Project, Download Project, etc., you need to input the password to enhance security.
