Windows CE.NET operating system dwells in the flash memory of the WinCon-8000 series CPU module. Windows CE.NET matches several advantages, including hard real-time capability, small core size, fast boot speed, interrupt handling at a deeper level, achievable deterministic control and low cost. User can easily develops his applications via using Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# or Embedded Visual C++. User's programs can be saved in external storage areas, such as Compact Flash Card and USB drive or downloaded to RAM at run time through the LAN or USB.
For SCADA software and Soft PLC solutions, user can choose the series of WinCon-8000 that bundles with InduSoft or ISaGRAF software to be a master controller in his application and transform a WinCon-8000 system into powerful PLC and control system. |

The MCU (Main Control Unit) of WinCon-8000 is the powerhouse of the WinCon-8000. Each MCU comprises a Central Processor Module(CPM) and a wide-range power supply. Except the zero-slot version, there is a three or seven slot backplane for either 3 or 7 Parallel or Serial I/O modules. The CPM is powerful integrated processing engine comprising a CPU, the internal 32M bytes flash memory and 64M bytes SDRAM. The CPM offers an additional memory medium in Compact Flash type II format. Ethernet port is also part of the basic configuration. The CPM is equipped with PC interface: PS/2(keyboard and mouse), VGA port and USB port. Further system interfaces or fieldbus connections such as Modbus/TCP and CANopen/DeviceNet are available in the basic MCU of WinCon. |

For some industrial automation environment, user can choose the WinCon-8000 without display (R2/R8) to reduce the budget and resource of the system. The hardware of WinCon-8000-R2/R8 is the same with standard WinCon-8000 except that there is no VGA,PS2 mouse/keyboard and USB for R2/R8. The additional 2 standard serial RS-232 ports are equipped with the WinCon-8000-R2, as the single 25-Pin D-sub RS232 with 8-channel Tx/Rx is equipped with the WinCon-8000-R8. With placement of WinCon-8000 without display on a network, it can serve as remote communication server. |
