The RFU-IO-433 is a 433 MHz RF wireless I/O unit that uses the Modbus communication protocol. It supports one ICPDAS XV series I/O module. A remote Modbus master can use a 433 MHz wireless converter, such as the RFU-433, to convert Modbus commands into 433 MHz wireless signals. These signals can then control the I/O module installed on the RFU-IO-433, enabling a wireless I/O solution.


In a line-of-sight(LOS) environment and with a wireless baud rate of 9600 bps, the RFU-IO-433 can achieve a transmission distance of up to 300 meters. To counteract environmental interference, it offers a range of wireless baud rate from 57600 bps down to 650 bps, allowing users to make suitable adjustments. Additionally, users can configure the wireless channel and group ID to avoid interference between nearby 433 MHz networks. The RFU-IO-433 also supports Repeater Mode to extend communication range and eliminate blind spots, and I/O Pair-Connection Mode to enable remote control of I/O modules without a host computer. These settings can be configured using rotary switches and DIP switches, simplifying system maintenance and device replacement.
