PCI-P8R8U/P16R16U 是泓格新上市並符合RoHS 環保規範的產品，新的PCI-P8R8U/P16R16U的設計可直接相容於PCI-P8R8/P16R16，用戶可以使用PCI-P8R8U/P16R16U 來取代PCI-P8R8U/P16R16，且不需再作任何軟體或驅動程序的修改。

PCI-P8R8U/P16R16U支援 3.3 V/5 V PCI bus 介面，PCI-P8R8支援 5 V PCI bus介面。他們提供有8個或16個光隔離型數位輸入通道，且此輸入通道提供有5000 Vrms 隔離保護，使輸入信號在完全浮動時以減少接地迴路問題且隔離了可能引起到主機毀損的電壓。還提供有8個或16個繼電器輸出通道，可用來控制外部設備的ON/OFF狀態、 驅動外部繼電器或小功率開關或啟動警報，等。

PCI-P8R8U/P16R16U 還提供Card ID功能，透過Card ID指撥開關，可以自由設定每張板卡的識別碼。當系統同時使用多張板卡時，便可以迅速而簡單區別這些同型號的板卡。

此系列卡支援在Linux、DOS、Windows 98/NT/2000、32/64-Bit Windows 10/8/7/XP等作業系統環境下使用，還提供有動態函式庫及Active X控制項使開發更加容易及簡單易懂的各種語言範例程式，如Turbo C++、Borland C++、Microsoft C++、Visual C++、Borland Delphi、Borland C++ Builder、Visual Basic、Visual C#.NET、Visual Basic.NET及LabVIEW等，讓用戶能夠快速的上手來使用。
