The LP-8x2x is a new generation Linux based PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) of ICP DAS. Each LP-8x2x is equipped with a Cortex-A8 (1.0 GHz) CPU that runs Linux operating system, it also features a variety of input/output ports (VGA, USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485), and 2/4/8 expansion I/O slots which can be used to integrate high performance I-8K (parallel-type) and I-87K (serial-type) series I/O modules.
Local I/O and Communication Expansion Modules
There are 1, 4, 8 slot options provided to expand the local I/O. And the I/O modules can be parallel bus type (I-8K series) or serial bus type (I-87K series).
The I/O slots support parallel bus type (I-8K series) and serial bus type (I-87K series) I/O modules. These modules provides wide-range options for different I/O combination to implement all kinds of I/O functions such as: AI, AO, DI, AO, counter input, frequency input, PWM output, motion control, memory, communication, etc.

Multi-Communication Interface
There are several communication interfaces can be used to expand I/O and connect to external devices:
1. Ethernet
2. RS-232/485
