ZT-20xx-IOG series (referred to as ZT-IOG) is a series of ZigBee wireless communication module with Digital Input and Digital Output channels. The “IOG” in the ZT-IOG is the abbreviation for “I/O Group” and means it belongs to the multi-to-multi Pair-connection I/O module series. The ZT-IOG has two major functions: "I/O Pair-connection" and "I/O Group".
I/O Pair-connection Function
I/O Pair-connection means the same number of DI and DO channels will automatically be bound together as a pair, e.g. DI0 and DO0 are bound as a pair, so as DI1 & DO1; and DI2 & DO2 are bound as pairs, and so on.
I/O Group Function
In the ZT-IOG series, the module with the address (or Node ID) adjusted to "0" will automatically be the ZigBee Coordinator (Host), those modules with "not 0" address will be the ZigBee Routers (Slaves). These two ZigBee types co-organize a ZigBee network and form a group. When any ZT-IOG module changing its DI channel state, all ZT-IOG modules' DO states with the same channel number within the group will be updated automatically.
Based on the above two function features, the ZigBee Coordinator will serve as a message process and distribution center. In other words, as long as any DI of any ZT-IOG module changes its channel state, it will immediately trigger an event and upload it to the ZigBee Coordinator for I/O Updating Logic calculations to determine the DO output states of the ZT-IOG system. Then, the ZigBee Coordinator will broadcast a message periodically to all ZT-IOG modules for synchronizing all DO channel states to achieve the multi-to-multi I/O Pair-connection function. -
