Introduction
ICP DAS release a new 3G/2G wireless application for the ISaGRAF PAC! The 3G/2G wireless transmission technology now applies in the industrial control systems very often, especially for the case that is difficult or impossible to wire its network cables. The tough remote systems now can be communicated and operated more conveniently through the telecommunication signals.

The ISaGRAF WinCE PACs support the 3G and 2G wireless communication. They can deliver the application data to a far away PC or Workstation which has a Modbus TCP server (or called Modbus TCP slave) or ftp server running inside. Even though the case of field is located in the mountains or the countryside that cannot set up the network cables, as long as there are telecommunication signals, customers will be able to monitor and control the entire system in a control center that in a busy city.

The 3G/2G Wireless Modules to Support This Application
User need to purchase one of the following I/O modules to plug in the ISaGRAF WinCE PAC V WP-8147/WP-8447/WP-8847, WP-8137/WP-8437/WP-8837,
VP-25W7/VP-23W7 and XP-8347-CE6/XP-8747-CE6 to implement the 3G or 2G wireless communication (require a SIM card provided by a local telecom company also).
