DeviceNet is one kind of the network protocols based on CAN bus and is mainly used for machine control of embedded network, such as Industrial machine control, aircraft engines, factory automation, medical equipment, off-road vehicles, or packaging machines, etc. The DeviceNet master library V3.0 (PISOCANDNM.DLL) released by ICP DAS will help users develop DeviceNet applications easily with the PISO-CAN 200/400, PISO-CAN 200U/400U, PISO-CAN 200E and PCM-CAN 200/200P boards. This library can not only helps users to establish the DeviceNet network system in short time, but also reduces developing time efficiently and establishes a steady system. The new version of this library with DeviceNet master engine built-in greatly reduces the loading of the system and provides a controlling environment with good efficiency. By using multi-function DeviceNet master utility, users can develop DeviceNet system faster. The general application architecture is depicted as the following figure.

With The free graphical tool "DNM Utility", users can easily manage and integrate the DeviceNet industrial devices. DNM Utility provides various devices scan modes and debug functions. When planning or developing DeviceNet application, DNM Utility will help users scan the devices in the network and check the devices' connection status on the remote end.
