GPS-721是I-7K型的GPS遠端模組，具備低功耗及高靈敏度的GPS接收功能、1通道的數位輸出與1通道的每秒輸出100 ms寬度的脈波(PPS, Pulse per second)的能力。無論是在大樓林立或是樹木濃郁的環境，都能快速達接收GPS衛星訊號，即時取得精確的地理位置，也可作為精確的參考時鍾。另外，還具有GPS完整資料輸出的RS232介面，也讓遠端主機可透過RS485的DCON命令來詢問GPS-721的GPS相關時間,日期,經緯度，作為定位與校時使用，也可以遠端控制GPS-721內建的DO通道。而GPS-721所提供的PPS功能，更可以用來做為簡單的同步技術，效果不亞於任何複雜的同步時通訊號。
因此，GPS-721除了具備一般GPS接收器的功能外，也能夠提供主機透過下命令的方式來獲得所需的GPS資訊，而不需要解析GPS的格式。可運用於需要定位與校時的系統上，例如 : 自動導航系統，各種系統的校時功能，船舶定位應用…。 |
