RS-405系列為泓格科技最新的即時備援乙太網路交換器產品(Redundant Ring Switch)，此系列產品可以滿足工控現場對乙太網路的斷線備援(詳見圖1)的需求。除了可以純用RS-405來做出多種的網路拓樸外(詳見圖2)，也可以與一般的乙太網路交換器共用，來做出節費的環狀斷線備援乙太網路(詳見圖3)。
RS-405本身具有兩組電源輸入，互為備援，如果有一組電源輸入有問題，或者發生斷線的狀況，RS-405的繼電器輸出(relay output)可以對外界發出警告訊號(詳見圖4)。透過RS-405的Modbus/TCP 通訊支持，網路管理者可以隨時得知RS-405各個乙太網路端口(port)的狀態(詳見圖5)。
