ET-7200/PET-7200 Series Ethernet I/O Modules
-
-
The ET-7200/PET-7200 series is the latest Ethernet I/O modules designed to replace and upgrade the original ET-7000/PET-7000 series of modules, and includes Analog Input/Output, Digital Input/Output, Power Relay, Thermocouple and RTD modules. The ET-7200/PET-7200 series provides full networking capabilities, and a variety of I/O functions, together with web-based Ethernet I/O monitoring and control modules, meaning that the modules can be remotely controlled using the Modbus TCP/UDP protocol via a 10/100 M Ethernet network. Modbus has become the de facto standard protocol for industrial communication, and is now the most commonly available means of connecting industrial electronic devices. This ensures that the ET-7200/PET-7200 series provides perfect integration with HMI, SCADA, PLC and other industrial control software systems.
-
Daisy Chain Ethernet Cabling
The ET-7200/PET-7200 series Ethernet I/O modules include two built-in Ethernet switch ports, which help to reduce implementation costs as there is no need to install an additional switch in order to daisy chain the ports or to extend the network via the Ethernet line.
-
LAN Bypass
ET-7200/PET-7200 series modules provide a LAN bypass feature that allows connected systems to continue to function in the event of power loss or other interruptions.
Power over Ethernet (PoE)
The PET-7200 series module features true IEEE802.3af-compliant (classification, Class 1) PoE technology that allows both power and data to be carried over a single Ethernet cable, meaning that a device can operate solely from the power it receives through the data cable.
LED Indicators for Digital Input/Output Status Monitoring
ET-7200/PET-7200 series modules provide LED indicators on the front panel of the module for monitoring system activity, the status of the Ethernet connections and the status of each Digital Input/Output channel.
-
Reset Button
ET-7200/PET-7200 series modules contain a reset button that can be used to reset the module to the factory default settings. The reset button is especially useful when the User ID or password required to log in to the embedded web server has been lost or forgotten.
-
Two Pairs of Power Input Pins
To simplify the wiring requirements for cascading the power supply to other modules, the number of power input pins has been increased to four on ET-7200/PET-7200 series modules, configured as two pairs.
