ET-7200 Series Ethernet I/O Modules
-
- The ET-7200 series is the latest in advanced Ethernet I/O modules designed to replace and upgrade the ET-7000 series of modules, and includes Analog Input/Output, Digital Input/Output, Power Relay and RTD modules. The ET-7200 series provides full networking capabilities and a variety of I/O functions, together with web-based Ethernet I/O monitoring and control modules, and the modules can be remotely controlled using the Modbus TCP/UDP protocol via a 10/100 M Ethernet network. Modbus has become the de facto standard protocol for industrial communication, and is now the most commonly available means of connecting industrial electronic devices. This ensures that the ET-7200 series provides perfect integration with HMI, SCADA, PLC and other industrial control software systems.
Daisy-Chain Ethernet Cabling
The most obvious difference between the ET-7200 series and the ET-7000 series is that ET-7200 series Ethernet I/O modules include two built-in Ethernet switch ports, which help to reduce implementation costs as there is no need to install an additional switch in order to daisy chain the ports or to extend the network via the Ethernet line.
- LAN Bypass
ET-7200 series modules also provide a LAN bypass feature that allows connected systems to continue to function in the event of power loss or other interruptions.
LED Indicators for Digital Input/Output Status Monitoring
The ET-7200 series includes LED indicators on the front panel that are used to indicate system activity, the status of the Ethernet connections and the status of each Digital Input/Output channel.
- Reset Button
The ET-7200 series includes a reset button that can be used to reset the module to factory default settings. The reset button is especially useful if the User ID or password required to log in to the embedded web server has been lost or forgotten.
- Two Pairs of Power Input Pins
On the ET-7000 series, there was only one pair of power input pins, which sometimes made wiring with other modules difficult. To simplify the wiring requirements, the number of power input pins for the ET-7200 series has been increased to four, configured as two pairs.
