WinCon-8000 003

back

 Q. How to write a program to let Wincon-8000 communicating with other devices
     (Ethernet controller,I-7188EA,EN....) via Ethernet?

 Ans:

The most convenient programming model is via ModBus protocol, WinCon-8000 provides ModBus master library for connecting with ModBus TCP devices like our 7188e with ModBus slave. Also WinCon is running a ModBus server (slave) to serve requests form ModBus TCP client (master). Besides support the industrial standard protocols like OPC, ModBus or CAN bus(beta testing now), WinCon naturally support standard Windows Sockets for programmers to develop their TCP/IP(library of winsock 2.0) or UDP sockets applications. And as we know that few of industrial applications developers is familiar with complicated Windows Sockets hard coding, so we introduce a convenient 3rd party middleware named i-Push to our customers to help them to unload their burden of handling complicated TCP/IP networking.
