Introduction
"Embedded Internet" and "Embedded Ethernet" are hot topics today. Nowadays the Ethernet protocol becomes the de-facto standard for local area network. Via Internet, connectivity is occurring everywhere, from home appliances to vending machines to testing equipment to UPS…etc. Using Ethernet for network in industrial area is appealing because the required cabling is already installed. The uPAC-7186EXD-CAN PACs (programmable Automation controller) are powered by 80186-80 processor with 512K bytes of static RAM, and 512K bytes of Flash memory. All of them provide several communication interfaces to adapt to various applications, such as CAN port, RS-232 port, RS-485 port and Ethernet interface. Uses can program their application program flexibly with C/C++ language because of the built-in MiniOS7 operation system. Besides, the uPAC-7186EXD-CAN series PACs have different I/O types for users to match their requirement. For uPAC-7186EXD-CAN , there is no I/O channel. It is useful for transfer the command from differential communication interface. Therefore, the uPAC-7186EXD-CAN series PACs are economic and convenient solution for diversification CAN application.
