The ETS-8000 series is an Ethernet I/O expansion unit with 4/8 slots for Ethernet expansion of I-8K and I-87K series I/O modules. It provides two Ethernet switch ports for daisy-chain topologies. This unit can be used to build Daisy Chain networks, simplifying configuration and maintenance, reducing cabling costs and switch requirements, and improving network scalability. Its automatic LAN Bypass function ensures continued communication within the Daisy Chain network when individual modules lose power, maintaining Ethernet communication stability. Designed for use in harsh and noisy environments, the hardware features a wide power input range (10 to 30 VDC), isolated power input, and a wide operating temperature range (-25 to +75°C).
The unit supports over 100 I/O modules, including analog I/O, digital I/O, and DI/counter modules. To simplify I/O module installation and maintenance, the unit offers automatic I/O module configuration, LED indicators for fault detection, dual watchdog timers to maintain system operation for enhanced reliability and stability, a watchdog timer with a specified safety threshold upon connection loss, and configurable startup and safety thresholds. The secure Ethernet I/O expansion unit features multiple security mechanisms, providing comprehensive protection for industrial communications. It supports multiple Industrial IoT protocols, including Modbus, OPC UA Server/Client, MQTT Client, and LwM2M Client.
