Introduction
The Win-GRAF XPAC-8000-CE6 Series (XP-8038-CE6/XP-8138-CE6/XP-8338-CE6/XP-8738-CE6) represents the latest generation of Win-GRAF XPACs (Programmable Automation Controllers) from ICP DAS, based on Windows CE 6.0. Each model features an x86 CPU (1 GHz) dual-core running the Windows CE 6.0 operating system, along with a variety of input/output ports (VGA, USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485), and an array of I/O slots (0/1/3/7). These slots can be used to integrate high-performance parallel I/O modules (high-profile I-8K Series) or serial I/O modules (high-profile I-87K series).
Running Windows CE 6.0 on an XPAC device offers several benefits: hard real-time capability, achievable deterministic control, and a PC-like window display and operating environment. These PACs support WinGRAF (IEC 61131-3 Standard) software for developing logic control applications, as well as M.S. VS 2008 software (VB .NET, C#) for creating HMI and data management applications that can exchange data with Win-GRAF applications. This combination makes the application's design more convenient and practical.
