Introduction
The GW-2500iM series is a security gateway designed to seamlessly convert Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII. Equipped with a built-in web server (HTTP/HTTPS), it allows users to configure the module directly via standard web browsers, thereby enabling a remote control system that is both intuitive and user-friendly.
The dual-port Ethernet switch facilitates the establishment of a Daisy Chain network topology, streamlining cable configuration and maintenance, minimizes cabling expenses and switch requirements, and enhancing network scalability. In the event of a power failure on any GW-2500iM module, the LAN Bypass function is automatically activated, ensuring uninterrupted communication within the Daisy Chain network and preserving the stability of Ethernet connectivity.
The GW-2500iM module incorporates multiple security mechanisms to provide comprehensive protection for industrial communication. Its built-in web server supports user authentication and HTTPS encrypted communication, protecting web communication and data security while preventing information leakage. The module is compatible with various industrial IoT communication protocols, such as Modbus TCP, and UDP. Optional TLS credentials and encryption add an extra layer of defense, protecting valuable data and devices from unauthorized access or tampering during transmission. Furthermore, the GW-2500iM is equipped with an IP address filter function.
