New Products
2014-01-10

Due to the limited resources of the earth, all of us learned that nowadays the demand of monitoring and management of electricity is rapidly rising under the trend of carbon reduction. For it always takes time, effort and requires substantial amount of investment in developing a power monitoring and management system, ICP DAS developed a new generation product that is easy-to-use and no programming required - PMC-5151 Intelligent Web-Based Power Meter Concentrator. PMC-5151 features various functions such as: power data collection, power data logger, power demand management, remote alarm message notification and logic control. It enables a full-featured and easy-to-setup power monitoring and management solution that will significantly reduce the time and labor required in building a power monitoring and management system.
PMC-5151 offers built-in Web Server, it allows set up parameters of the smart power meters via browsers, and view the power data of the devices in real time. When there is unusual power usage, it can be identified and investigated right away. And with microSD card, it provides Data Logger function that will record power data of the devices in real time. PMC-5151 also provides data logger file auto send-back function to send back the file in scheduled time for further statistics and analysis. In addition, the PMC-5151 features IF-THEN-ELSE logic execution, I/O module control and Email/SMS alarm message notification functions to build a thought-out power demand management mechanism. The user could freely set up user-defined trigger events for unusual power usage detection, and is able to perform I/O function control or load shedding of the devices based on the real-time power demand. Furthermore, make it feasible to achieve real-time alarm notification (via SMS message or Email) and immediate response to emergency situations.
By using PMC-5151, it is easy to build a power monitoring system and the flexible architecture allows to implement the system stage by stage. During the early stage, if the scale is small, the user could simply use smart power meter and PMC-5151 to set up a simple power data acquisition monitoring system; once the scale is expanded; the user could get the back-end software tool (such as Indusoft) involved to connect with more PMC-5151 concentrators to build a easy-to-expand power monitoring system via blocks stacked structure. By this way, the system will be highly flexible and could be implemented in phases to meet various requirements.
