• Using Dual-Stack technology to support IPv4 and IPv6 protocol simultaneously
  The tGW-700 and GW-2200 series use dual-stack technology to handle the packet whether it’s from IPv4 or IPv6. A single tGW-700 or GW-2200 device has both IPv4 and IPv6 address at the same time, no further configuration is required, and it will analyze the type of packet automatically.
  
  
   
• Use SLAAC (Stateless Address Autoconfiguration) to implement “Plug and Play” concept in IPv6
  Long IPv6 address is very inconvenient when performing address assignment. The tGW-700 and GW-2200 module will request the IP information from the Router by SLAAC technology automatically. Without further configuration, the tGW-700 and GW-2200 module can obtain the IPv6 address that can be routed and then is able to implement convenient Plug and Play concept.
  
   
• The original functions are fully compatible
  The tGW-700 and GW-2200 have a lot advance features on Modbus protocol. These features are based on many suggestions and years of experience, so they are extended to IPv6 also.

Upgrade information:

1. Verify if the module supports the IPv6 feature upgrade:
   • The tGW-700 module with “RevB” or “RevB2” printed on its outer shell indicates the module supports the IPv6 feature upgrade.
   • All GW-2200 modules support the IPv6 feature upgrade.
      
2. Please refer to the Firmware Update Manual to upgrade the modules to “v2.2.4” or later version.
