Introduction:
The EC4-MP1U is a slim pulse output module designed to control pulse-type drives using pulse signals. Configuration is performed by the EtherCAT MDevice and the application program.
The EC4-MP1U integrates an incremental encoder interface with a 32-bit high-frequency counter for counting input signals from an external incremental encoder. The encoder input can be used for homing and position consistency checks.
Three digital input channels are provided: positive and negative hardware limit switch inputs and a home switch input. The hardware limit switches automatically stop the motor when triggered, and all three digital inputs can be used for homing.
The 26-pin HD D-Sub connector enables easy connection to various servo drives and stepper drives. ICP DAS also provides dedicated cables compatible with servo drives from various manufacturers, further reducing the wiring required between the drives and the controller. This makes the EC4-MP1U an ideal solution for highly integrated machine automation applications.
