ICP DAS releases new RTU-140 which is a high cost-effective intelligent active 4G remote terminal unit. RTU-140 is stand-alone and is designed to suit most M2M 3G/4G applications. It features high performance 32 bits CPU, and can be used in harsh industrial environments. The RTU-140 also features a 4G module, a GPS module, a USB ports, a RS-485 port and a micro SD interface. In addition, it allows to add up to 3 Modbus RTU devices on RS-485 network, and can transfer the data on GPS, and Modbus devices via WCDMA/LTE connection based on the RTU protocol defined by ICP DAS. The RTU device will automatically transfer data to remote M2M RTU Center at pre- defined period of time. ICP DAS also provides multiple software including M2M RTU Center, M2M RTU Win32 API library and OPC server for RTU devices, so that user can easily build a system.
In addition to functions described above, it also has I/O data logger function that will save I/O and GPS data in micro SD card. The RTU-140 also offers connection interface for external lithium battery to avoid the loss of the main power source.
For the software solution of RTU-140, the M2M RTU API tool and M2M RTU center software are provided so that the remote monitoring system can be achieved easily and efficiently . The M2M.OPC server is also provided for connections to SCADA by OPC interface in a SCADA system.

Easy to implement WCDMA/LTE Network Applications
RTU-140 products can adopt dynamic IP mode to connect to the monitoring terminal (M2M RTU center software) to solve the headache IP management problem in WCDMA/LTE network.
Active data transmission
Unlike the traditional polling method, it can improve the efficiency of data transmission for multi station and reduce the burden of the main control terminal (PC), and thoroughly solve the efficiency problem of instant data communication.
Modbus RTU device connectivity
RTU-140 products can support up to three Modbus RTU devices, so that users can easily transfer the data of remote Modbus RTU devices to the control station through RTU-140 products.
Simple Local I/O link Control
The RTU-140 can also function as 3G/4G I/O devices for on-site control. In addition to sending the I/O data to the host PC, the RTU-140 itself also features I/O link function to perform simple on-site control operations.
Built in I/O & GPS Data recording function
RTU-140 supports micro SD interface, providing IO data and GPS recording function of Modbus RTU equipment.(stored in a single file per day).
External Power Interface
RTU-140 offers connection interface for external lithium battery in order to avoid the loss of power source. Users can purchase Nikon EN-EL5 compatible lithium battery.

- M2M RTU SDK- M2M RTU API
ICP DAS M2M RTU Library is a software tool package for M2M RTU products. It provides seamless connection to M2M RTU products (G-4514-4G RTU, GT-540-3GWA, RTU-140…) of ICP DAS for the user-designed system. With the APIs in this library, programmer can access M2M RTU devices by public software development environments like VC, VB, BCB, visual studio.Net…etc. It is easy to integrate these RTU devices into a variety of applications including real time remote data, database management system.

- OPC server for RTU series of ICP DAS- NAPOPC.M2M DA Server
ICP DAS NAPOPC.M2M DA Server is an OPC software package operate as an OPC driver in a HMI or SCADA system. EZ Data Logger is a small data logger software. It can be applied to small remote I/O system. With its user-friendly interface, users can quickly and easily build a data logger software without any programming skill. EZ Data Logger (version 4.3.1 or later) supports G-4514-4G RTU, GT-540-3GWA and RTU-140 series.
