CANopen Motion Control

The CANopen motion library, based on CiA 402, provides various motion control functions such as position control, velocity control, toque control, synchronous action, interpolation mode and etc. In addition to making the management of the CANopen motors easy, it could reduce the wire connection between the controller and motors, and provides rapid trouble shooting functions. The users are able to link to multiple CANopen motors to achieve multi-axis motion control by one host. And when performing the control of motors, the CANopen remote I/O modules(follow the CiA 301) still can be accessed at the same time. Therefore, the motion control application can be implemented easily and efficiently.

  • Absolute and relative position control.
  • Velocity, torque or jog control.
  • Supports synchronous action for a maximum of 127 motors ideally.
  • Supports interpolation control for a maximum of 32 motors.
  • Supports various homing control methods.
  • Supports torque limitation via CANopen commands.
  • Supports the node guarding and heartbeat protocols.
  • Supports dynamic PDO object configuration.
  • Bus distance ranges between 25 m to 5000 m.
  • Supports baud rates of 10 Kbps, 20 Kbps, 50 Kbps, 125 Kbps, 250 Kbps, 500 Kbps, 800 Kbps and 1 Mbps.
