Create a colorful HMI in the ISaGRAF PAC

Applications > Data Logging and FTP-Upload

The Soft-GRAF HMI object - "g_logger1" can record up to 50 data (Tags), one file a day, the highest sample rate is once per second and the lowest sample rate is once per six hours. Users can choose their own sample rate. Each data file includes the date, time and data. Data are separated by a "," symbol, if you choose “.csv” format and open this data file in Excel, the content would be like the following picture:

In General, the first row is the “File Title” (or no “File Title”). The second row lists some “Column Title” and its leftmost field is the “Date-Time”, the other rows starting from the 3th row are the data of each sampling. (Please refer to FAQ-158).

Export data files to a USB pen drive or PC
The on-site operator can manually export data files with a specified date range to a folder in a USB pen drive. Or, users can enable the FTP functionality in the "g_logger1" and set up one to three daily hour to automatically send the previous day's (or today’s) data file to one or two remote PC by FTP. For example, users can set up to export the previous day's data file at 00:00 daily. To do that, the PAC requires an Ethernet connection and the PC is configured as an FTP Server. If the PAC has plugged in a 2G/3G wireless card, it can take advantage of wireless networks to send data files to a PC via FTP.

Retaining time of the data file

The “Sample Time” setting of the g_Logger1 affects the retaining days of data files.
The retaining time is 10 days if “Sample Time” setting is 1 or 2 or 3 seconds.
The retaining time is 30 days if “Sample Time” setting is 5 to 30 seconds.
The retaining time is 3 months if “Sample Time” is 1 minute or more than 1 minute.
