The PISO-P64U card is a new generation product that ICP DAS provides to meet RoHS compliance and the new PISO-P64U card is designed as a drop-in replacement for the PISO-P64.

The PISO-P64U supports 3.3 V/5 V PCI Bus and provides 64-channel Optically Isolated Digital Input. Each input channel adopts a photo-coupler input which allows either internal isolated power supply or external power selected by jumper. The internal power is provided by an onboard isolated DC/DC converter that provides 3000 VDC isolation and is used for connecting dry-contact input devices. The onboard photo couplers provide 3750 Vrms isolation, and act as an interface to field logic signals, eliminate ground-loop problems, and isolate the host computer from damaging voltages. The PISO-P64U also adds a Card ID switch. Users can set Card ID on a board and recognize the board by the ID via software when using two or more PISO-P64U cards in one computer.

The PISO-P64U software is fully compatible with the PISO-P64 software. Therefore, the new PISO-P64U series card is totally compatible with PISO-P64 card and requires no software modification. The PISO-P64U supports various OS such as Linux, DOS, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 32/64-Bit. It also provides the DLL and Active X control, and various language sample programs of Turbo C++, Borland C++, Microsoft C++, Visual C++, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, Visual Basic, Visual C#.NET, Visual Basic.NET and LabVIEW to help users to quickly and easily develop their applications.
