The PEX-D24/D56 card is the new generation product that ICP DAS provides to meet RoHS compliance and the newest interface - PCI Express. The new PEX-D24/D56 card is designed as easy replacement for the PIO-D24/D56/D24U/D56U. Therefore, there is no any software modification needed while users upgrade the systems from PIO-D24/D56/D24U/D56U to PEX-D24/D56.
The PEX-D24/D56 supports PCI Express and provides 24 5V/TTL digital I/O lines and emulate mode 0 (Basic Input/Output) of 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface (PPI). Each of the PPI consists of three 8-bit bi-direction ports. The 8-bit ports are named as port A (PA), port B (PB) and port C (PC). All ports are configured as inputs upon power-up or reset. PPI interface provides standard 2.5 mA output drive capability, but this board contains PPI interface that provides 32 mA high output drive capability. In addition, the PEX-D56 provides the 16-bit digital inputs and 16-bit digital outputs.
The PEX-D24/D56 also contains a Card ID switch. Users can set Card ID on a board and recognize the board by the ID via software when using two or more PEX-D24/56 cards in one computer.
The PEX-D24/D56 supports various OS such as Linux, DOS, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 32/64-Bit. It also provides the DLL and Active X control, and various language sample programs of Turbo C++, Borland C++, Microsoft C++, Visual C++, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, Visual Basic, Visual C#.NET, Visual Basic.NET and LabVIEW to help users to quickly and easily develop their applications. |
