Introduction
The LinCon/LinPAC series is equipped with a variety of communication interfaces, such as USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485, et al.

Ethernet:
The Ethernet is the IEEE 802.3 series standard, based on the CSMA/CD access method that allows two or more stations to share a common cabling system, and is a physical and data link layer technology for local area networks (LANs). The Ethernet I/O devices available for the LinPAC series are the ET-6000, the ET-7000, the I-8KE4/8 and the I-8KE4/8-MTCP and provide support for the DCON or Modbus/TCP communication protocols.

RS-485:
RS-485 is a telecommunications standard for binary serial communications between devices. The LinPAC series built-in RS-485 COM ports enable the communication baudrate up to 115.2 kbps. The medium for connection is a twisted-pair, multi-drop, 2-wire RS-485 network that can link I-7000, M-7000, RU-87Pn and high profile I-87K modules.
