Intelligent RS-485 I/O expansion unit
The unit is used to expand I-87K series I/O modules via the RS-485 interface.
It is equipped one power module, one RS-485 interface, one CPU module and several I/O slots.
The most important features are
1. Auto configuration
Each slot configuration can be pre-configured and stored in the CPU module, Once a module is plug in, the CPU module will
write the pre-configured data to the module.
2. Hot Swap
All I-87K modules circuit design allow it to be hot swapped. The unit don't need to power off while swapping I/O modules.
With above two features, the maintenance becomes very easy. If one module is damaged, the worker just need to find one new module and replace the damaged one. The whole system don't need to shut down for maintenance and the configuration will be done by the CPU module.
