Introduction:
GW-7243D is new product of the DeviceNet series by ICP DAS, and it stands as a DeviceNet slave to Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII master gateway. By way of applying the GW-7243D, the DeviceNet master can do the data exchange with the slave devices on the Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII network at the same time. GW-7243D is a “Group 2 Only Server” device to the DeviceNet network. In Modbus network, it is a master device and sends the predefined messages to access the Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII slaves simultaneously. The configuration of these predefined messages can be simplified by the GW-7243D Utility tool. This tool is not only applied to configure the device parameters, but builds the EDS file of the GW-7243D for the DeviceNet master application. Through the GW-7243D, you can easily extend the application of the Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII devices to the DeviceNet network without taking care of the communication interface.
