The watchdog can reset the CPU when OS or AP fails. And the dual power inputs design provides redundant power input in order to prevent power failure.
Furthermore, even when the power fails accidentally, the 512KB battery backup SRAM can still maintain the data when power is off. Other than all the features mentioned above, another distinguishing feature of XP-8000 is that XP-8000 can directly run the applications which are designed for PCs. That is to say, for IPC users, it will be much easier to get start with XP-8000 because all the software is compatible with Windows XP! |

Comparing with ICP DAS WP-8000, the Windows CE 5.0 based PAC series, WP-8000 is recommended for applications which require real-time control or instant response, etc. On the other hand, XP-8000 is more suitable for applications which require the features below:

3. High resolution VGA output, making it possible to build friendlier and more elegant human-machine interface.
