Release the WinPAC-8447 / 8847 controller (Supports the ISaGRAF version 3.4x / 3.5x) |

ICP DAS releases the WinPAC-8447 / 8847 controller (also called WP-8447/8847) at the beginning of Feb.2009 .
It supports ISaGRAF software version 3.4x / 3.5x . User can use the SoftLogic language such as Ladder, Function block,
ST, IL, SFC and FlowChart to design the application. The WinPAC-8x47 is about 99% compatible with the Wincon-8x47 / 8x37.
It has better features and better stability than the Wincon-8x47 / 8x37 does. The running speed of the WP-8x47 is about
1.5 to 2 times faster than the Wincon-8x47 / 8x37. |

The major differences between the WinPAC-8147/8447/8847 (or called WP-8x47) and the Wincon-8x47 are listed as the following. |

|
- The WP-8x47 supports all software feature of the Wincon-8x47 except the Modem_link function (The WP-8x47 doesn't support Modem_link)
- The WP-8147 has one empty I/O slot. The WP-8447 has four slots. The WP-8847 has eight slots. (The Wincon-8x47/8x37 max. has 7 slots only)
- The WP-8x47 has built-in the dual-battery backup SRAM in its backplane for retaining variables and data.
The Wincon-8x47/8x37 doesn't have it (must purchase extra S-256 or S-512)
- The WP-8x47 has built-in two ethernet ports (LAN1, LAN2) and four serial ports (COM1:RS-232, COM2:RS-485, COM3:RS-232/485, COM4:RS-232).
It has two more serial ports than the Wincon-8x47 has.
(Note, WP-8147 has COM1 and COM2 however doesn't have COM3 and COM4. Only the WP-8447/8847 have all of the COM1, COM2, COM3 and COM4)
- The WP-8x47 supports HotSwap I-87K high profile I/O cards (The Wincon-8x47/8x37 doesn't).
- The WP-8x47 supports only I-8K and I-87K high profile cards. Do not use the low-profile I-8K and I-87K I/O in its slot 0 thru 7.
- The WP-8x47 has only one USB port however the Wincon-8x47 has two. (The WP-8x47 has Software Keyboard or can use an extra USB hub to connect both of the USB mouse and USB keyboard)
- The running speed of the WP-8x47 is about 1.5 to 2 times faster than the Wincon-8x47. However when reading / writing its built-in Micro-SD card is slower than the Wincon-8x47 reading / writing its CompactFlash card.
- The WP-8x47 supports redundant power input. The Wincon-8x47 doesn't.
- The WP-8x47 will support designing the HMI control by using the same ISaGRAF software in the future. The Wincon-8x47 will not.
