	Switch from WinCon to WinPAC!

	Dear customers, Thank you for using ICP DAS products and continued support to ICP DAS. Recently, a new generation of controller was born, and that’s WinPAC! Inheriting from its previous version- WinCon, WinPAC also uses Windows CE as its operating system, and more than that, WinPAC has many new features. Lately, due to the shortage of key components used in WinCon series—W-8x4x,ICP DAS brings up alternatives in advance for our customers. Schedules and alternatives are as follows:

	Schedules

	Estimated supply deadline: In end-February, 2009. (Now, there are still enough stock for projects shifting. ) Continued support for RMA: At least 3 years, started from end-February, 2009. Continued support for service: At least 3 years, started from end-February, 2009.

	Alternatives ( ICP DAS recommends the following ways )

	1. For users who are planning and evaluating their projects.

	Please use the newest Windows CE-based controller—WinPAC, WP-8x4x. A huge amount of “High Profile” modules are ready for you. Touch panel drivers supported. PenMount/ELO/Egalax for both USB and serial versions.

	2. For users who are using W-8x4x, and planning to increase the amount in their projects.

	Please update to the newest Windows CE-based controller—WinPAC, WP-8x4x. A huge amount of “High Profile” modules are ready for you. Touch panel drivers supported. PenMount/ELO/Egalax for both USB and serial versions. The original applications developed from eVC, VS.Net 2003 are 90% compatible. ( If you have problems with upgrading your applications, please send us a mail and inform us of your projects. Our engineers will assist you to run your applications on WinPAC, WP-8x4x smoothly. ) The original applications developed from ISaGRAF are fully compatible. The original applications developed from Indusoft are fully compatible.
