On Aug. 29th 2008, ICP DAS held a seminar with the topic of how to save our sources of energy, and how can we put our hearts and souls into protecting our earth environment. ICP DAS also invited CheeryTech and SCADATech as main instructors.

During the seminar, ICP DAS displayed the latest products and live demo. ICP DAS is about to release some new products in Q4, including WinPAC-8000 series with Windows CE 5.0 built-in, which has powerful functions such as module Hot Swap, SRAM battery backup, and dual power inputs. New series of I-8K and I-87K I/O modules with high speed and high resolution, easily match the new WinPAC is also caught the audiences’ eyes during the seminar.




The most important part of the live-demo was the Smart software which has been developed by ICP DAS. Smart 4 will soon be released in Q4. Smart can run with WinPAC series products and can also be used in many different aspects; especially automation monitoring, including lighting control, electronic force monitoring, HVAC monitoring, equipment switches control, and fans control. With the monitoring system and Smart, we can monitor the devices by remote control interfaces, so that the module settings could be done easily. You can get online, log-in into the system, and then enjoy the super-convenient lifestyles from now on! Presently, ICP DAS will also release another Smart version named SmartQ. Q stands for the MQtt communication protocol from IBM. MQtt could make sure that all the information be sent safely without missing.



CheeryTech used ICP DAS I-8000 controller with InduSoft as HMI to monitor the real-time performance temperature measurement. By way of transferring data to central control room, the administrator can control the temperature through the HMI. The SCADATech used a normal PC to be the control interface. The PC with communication drivers provided by ICP DAS installed is able to control the remote WinCon. All participants have great interests in the demos that CheeryTech and SCADATech displayed.


There are two sets of powerful, integrated collection of automation tools which include all the building blocks needed by developing modern Human Machine Interfaces. One is InduSoft, and the other is Smart. Smart is developed by ICP DAS, and the version of Smart4 will soon become available in the market. Smart provides a more flexible and nimbler interface with higher linkage ability with products of ICP DAS for users.
