CANopen is one kind of the network protocols based on the CAN bus and mainly used for embedded network of machine control, such as industrial machine control, aircraft engines, factory automation, medical equipment, off-road vehicles, packaging machines and so forth.

In order to control and monitor CANopen network more easily, ICP DAS releases I-87123 CANopen Master slot module and provides I-87123 function libraries of WinCon and I-8000 series main control unit.

These function libraries can help users to establish the connection with CANopen slave devices easily and reduce the development period. The general application architecture is displayed as the following figure.

• Supported I-8000 series and WinCon series main control unit. (Except all the ISaGRAF embedded controllers)
• 8 kinds of programmable bauds, such as 10K, 20K, 50K, 125K, 250K, 500K, 800K, and 1M bps.
• Support node guarding protocol.
• Standard CANopen specification DS-301 v4.01.
• Support the CANopen slaves which follow the specification DS-401 v2.1
• Provide Event-triggered, remote-requested, cyclic and acyclic SYNC of PDO mode.
• The PDO communication supports single digital channel output so that users can just modify the value of one digital channel without changing the others.
• Allow dynamic PDO mapping
• The SDO communication supports segment protocol.
