ISaGRAF 005

back

  Q: Can I use more than 32 I/O in my ISaGRAF project if I don¡¦t have ISaGRAF-256 or ISaGRAF-L ?

¡@

  Ans: Yes.

When you purchase an ISaGRAF software package, it contains a CD-ROM, a license agreement and a ¡§Dongle¡¨.
The No. after ¡§ISaGRAF-¡¨ means the maxinum number of I/O variables that you can declare in one ISaGRAF
project. For example, ISaGRAF-256 allows you to use up to 256 I/O variables.

Every time you compile your ISaGRAF project, the software will check the ¡§Dongle¡¨ which pluged in the printer   port of the PC. If your ISaGRAF project uses more I/O variables than the ¡§dongle¡¨ provide, an error ¡§Too many
  I/O variables¡¨ will appeared.

The method to solve this problem is

  1. To use a ¡§Dongle¡¨ with larger number.Or ¡K

  2. Using ¡§Directly respresented variables¡¨ rather than declaring so many variables with ¡§Input/Output¡¨ attribution. Please refer to Section 3.4 of the ¡§User¡¦s Manual Of the I-8417/8817/8437/8837¡¨ or refer to the ¡§faq005.pdf¡¨
